Contributing Industry Perspectives to Shape the Future of Technical Education in Bangladesh
The future of Bangladesh's workforce depends significantly on the strength of its technical and vocational education ecosystem. As industries evolve, emerging technologies reshape job markets, and employers seek increasingly specialized skills, the alignment between education and industry has become more important than ever.
With this vision in mind, Codex Devware was honored to participate in the Divisional Dissemination Workshop on TVET Implementation Plan (2025–2030), held on 04 September 2025 at Chattogram Polytechnic Institute.
Organized by the Technical and Madrasah Education Division (TMED), Ministry of Education, and supported by the European Union, the workshop brought together policymakers, educational leaders, industry representatives, training institutions, and development partners under the inspiring theme:
"TVET for Today, Transformation for Tomorrow."
A Shared Vision for Transformative Technical Education
The workshop served as a strategic platform to discuss the future direction of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Bangladesh. The initiative aims to develop and implement a transformative roadmap for the TVET sector through meaningful collaboration between government institutions, industry stakeholders, polytechnic institutes, Technical Training Centers (TTCs), and non-governmental organizations.
The event was graced by the Honorable Secretary of the Technical and Madrasah Education Division and the Director General of the Directorate of Technical Education, alongside distinguished representatives from various industries, public and private polytechnic institutes, Technical Training Centers, and development organizations.
Their collective participation reflected a shared commitment to ensuring that Bangladesh's technical education system remains responsive to the evolving demands of the modern workforce.
Bridging the Gap Between Education and Industry
One of the most significant challenges facing technical education today is the gap between classroom learning and industry expectations.
As a technology company actively engaged in software development, digital transformation, and workforce development, Codex Devware recognizes the importance of ensuring that students graduate with skills that are relevant, practical, and aligned with real-world industry requirements.
Representing Codex Devware, Mr. Iftakhar Ahmed participated in the discussions and shared valuable insights regarding the challenges commonly faced by students pursuing technical education.
The discussion highlighted several critical areas:
Industry readiness among graduates
Practical skill development and hands-on learning
Exposure to emerging technologies
Career guidance and professional development
Stronger collaboration between educational institutions and employers
Building pathways from technical education to sustainable employment
These conversations provided an opportunity for industry stakeholders to present their observations, concerns, and recommendations directly to policymakers responsible for shaping the future of the TVET sector.
The Importance of Industry Participation
Effective technical education cannot be developed in isolation.
For TVET programs to successfully prepare students for future careers, educational institutions and industries must work together to identify skill gaps, update curricula, strengthen practical training opportunities, and create pathways that support employment and entrepreneurship.
Workshops such as this play a vital role in fostering dialogue between stakeholders who share a common goal: equipping the next generation with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
By bringing together decision-makers, educators, and industry leaders, the workshop created a productive environment for collaboration and meaningful exchange of ideas.
Building a Future-Ready Workforce
At Codex Devware, we believe that technology companies have a responsibility not only to create innovative solutions but also to contribute to the development of future talent.
Bangladesh's growing technology sector requires a workforce that is adaptable, skilled, and prepared to meet the challenges of an increasingly digital economy. Achieving this vision requires continuous collaboration between educational institutions, industry partners, and government agencies.
Participating in initiatives like the TVET Implementation Plan Workshop allows us to contribute our industry experience while supporting broader efforts to strengthen technical education and workforce development across the country.
Looking Ahead
The Divisional Dissemination Workshop on TVET Implementation Plan (2025–2030) represented more than a policy discussion—it represented a collective commitment to shaping the future of technical education in Bangladesh.
We sincerely thank the organizers, policymakers, educational leaders, and fellow industry representatives for creating a platform where meaningful dialogue and collaboration can take place.
Codex Devware remains committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen technical education, bridge the gap between academia and industry, and empower the next generation of skilled professionals.
Together, we can build a stronger, more innovative, and future-ready Bangladesh.
